In It To Win!!!
Yesterday we enjoyed the beautiful day, and we played putt-putt for the first time in Lancaster. We had so much fun! Jenna was so cute with her little putter, and she did a great job putting! Alyssa had a tiny plastic golf club and she clutched her little pink golf ball the entire time...that is, until she lost it at one of the holes! Well, John and I are pretty competitive! It started off great for me, and I was ahead of John by 2 or 3 strokes. Needless to say, he was not in a great mood and he kept saying how stressful it was to putt-putt with the girls. Yeah, he tried to blame his own daughters! On the 16th hole, I lost my lead! I messed up a hole, and I couldn't recover. John ended up beating me 59 to 60. I can't believe I lost by 1 stroke! Oh well, it was a fun day! I have some adorable pictures that hopefully I can post soon!
While I'm talking about being "in it to win," I will confess that John and I got a little competitive playing Sesame Street Chutes and Ladders with Jenna for the first time. It is really pothetic when John even cheated to try to beat me. I have to say that he did finally admit that he went the wrong way on the board, but he still tried to cheat! We are really bad! Now I know why Jenna always wants to win!!!
Our first soccer game is this Sunday! We don't really keep score, but you know I do! Hopefully Team Burn can start the season out with a "win!"

Putt Putt sounds like fun... We may have to go play on our vacation! Oh and as for being competitive Stephanie and Dan are our competitive ones!!! They get a little too crazy for me!!! Dallas is a lil more laid back about things like me!!! When Stephanie was little, she would be playing video games with Dan and of course he would be winning so.... halfway through Dan would switch controllers with her so she could win!!! (how sad is that) Oh, and Luke and Gage used to give her controllers that were not even hooked up and she would think she was the one winning! So yea... that is what made her so competitive!
Dallas and I are more like.... Well, if we are good it makes it more fun.... but, if we were bad, we could just laugh and have fun...:)
I can't wait to see the pic of the girls playing putt putt!

You guys are really funny w/ your competitiveness. John got pretty competitive w/ me at Janet's playing cornhole! The chutes and ladders thing is a little sad though!!
Can't wait to see the putt putt pics. I can't believe those salads were that much. Mom didn't really like hers. I'm glad I stuck w/ the chicken. I sooo wish I had a video camera today for Jenna's performance! That was priceless!

Family business first...poor little Luke and Gage were just wanting to include sweet, sweet Stephanie in their enjoyment of video games. They would have
nneeevvveerrr, done any thing to corrupt her innocent young mind!!!
Most of the time, her controls were..how can I say this...broken!!
I have always thought that the best way to really get to know someone is to play board/table games with them. Of course, I have been mislabeled as competitive because of board games, so that line of thinking isn't always correct! But then, we'er talking about John, right?
Have fun, and good luck on Sunday not keeping score!
